I am of the same sentiment as you, but I confess to being one of those people many years ago (wow, this's so stiff, but I kind of like it so no edits here). I claimed I had good taste as I waved a battered copy of Maximum Ride in the air. I used to only read YA as I fell asleep attempting classics and literature never interested me. To be fair I started at a young age--five--and matured quickly when puberty hit. I still read YA, but now I check the reviews to see if it's my thing and actually good. Do you have a Goodreads account? It would be a lot easier to compare our tastes and see if any books strike our fancies.

My friend lent me Good Omens and a buncha other books over the summer, and since's it's over where I live I'm rushing. Am finishing up The Shadow of the Wind, so thanks for giving the next one to read!

Is that the one available from Ben & Jerry's? I'm so jealous right now. I get to eat some every time I go abroad, but that's my third or second favorite. They have some here but they're kind of expensive and I'd rather use the money to buy something to read or save it.

Oh yay, first person I've seen so far who reads a lot of books too! Admittedly, I've only read the Graveyard Book from your list but have heard of the others. They're moving up a centimeter up the world-spanning long to-reads.
