Hard work, motivation, and complete immersion were my methods. Anything short of that, and I would have never learned.

Unless you're a genius with languages or live right in Koreatown, the only way to get really good at it is to live there and use it everyday! You really have to immerse yourself into a language and its host culture in order to become skilled in using it.

If you're just 17, you should look into going to college there, or participating in an exchane program. The good news is, after moving there it only took about 2 years to develop my ability to a level I was confident with.
