Hello Brian --

Speaking of movies - what have you thought of - Argo? Lincoln? The Sessions? By chance did you see "The Intouchables"?

Sorry to say that I'm not British (although LOVE Britain, especially Scotland) and I'm not Black (although in first grade when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said - "A colored maid" - language of the times, rather than using "Black".

There you are - would love to hear from you IF you want to write.

also - I'm from the Midwest (Indiana) but presently waiting for our house there to sell, and am living on Whidbey Island in Washington State. Glorious, but......tension producing because of the housing market.

Take care,
Mary

Hello Brian,

Just wondered what you were doing this week and how the weather is there. Tonight we have the conference call on credentialing, then tomorrow I will be busy doing the mass mailing and starting the tracking of the deliveries. There is a "do" at church tomorrow night, a study class for the women, so if my energy holds, I will attend. It could be that my energy will be mostly gone, so I will opt for a quiet liquid supper and falling asleep in front of another movie.

Last night I had plenty of energy so got the last pieces of Christmas decoration packed, then watched "Cars" cartoon movie. I do like the character Maynard, the tow truck. He is simple and honest, never getting discouraged when things go wrong.

It is overcast again today with a real nip in the wind. We are on the tail end of a wet front moving eastward. Look forward to your next message. Always, Holley

You are correct about it being a mild winter. It is warmer than usual here too. Twice in the last 60 days, west Texas has received 2 snow storms, and we got only a slight drop in temperature and rain. Not complaining about the rain -- it's a blessing. However, I am concerned that our "mild winter" may be a warning flag that the summer will prove more hot and dry with massive wildfires than last year. Austin TX had 90 days of triple digit temps, while we had 70 days triple digits. Our state really DOES NOT NEED any more wildfires like those that plagued us in the spring and autumn. Please do keep in touch. Always, Holley
