Hello Adeline. My name is Doyle. I live one state over in Louisiana,where french is spoken in the south near Lafayette. I have been to Texas several times,have relatives there. Just be careful around Houston, crime is a little high. You may have heard of New Orleans in Louisiana. It has history,creole food,it's ok, crime rate there is very high. Lafayette (Cajun) food is way better. I have 3 sons,wife is a nurse. My oldest son 39 yrs. old plays music too, rock, some oldies and writes music. I am 67 years old. My mothers first language was French,then English. She never taught my 2 sisters and my 2 brothers French either. I have tried to learn French,beautiful language, not that successful in remembering phrases and such. By now you maybe board reading my stuff. Good luck to you Adeline and your son.
