I visited Chengdu last summer and it was a great trip!
Also went to Jiuzhaigou and loved it, I was able to take some stunning shots BUT there were SO MANY people. I wouldn't recommend it to anyine being scared of crowds...
The giant Buddha in Leshan was also nice, but again same problem...
I guess Chengdu is a popular destination during the holiday season
