I think German would have been a lot easier for you to learn because of similarities in vocabulary.

Yeah, learning languages alone is pretty difficult. The hardest part is not being able to practise speaking.

It's good you'd like to do a PhD. I'd like to do a master's and PhD in linguistics, but I just don't have the money to do it at them moment. You have to pay for it in Britain unfortunately and it is VERY expensive!! :(

hat's amazing you know all that. I know a bit of Jiu Jutsu myself. Stopped after a while. I also know a bit of Tae Kwon Do and Muy Thai. Submission wrestling......is it more about strength or disabling your opponent? I want to learn Aikido, Thai Chi and Northern Shaolin Kung Fu personally. :3

I don't study it formally - I don't have any resources really to study it. I have just learned a bit from films and from the internet.

I notice lots of words similar to English or German, so I can understand more than I can actually produce myself.

When will you finally graduate from uni?
