Oh yes I have also read ''And the mountains echoed'' and was disappointed :/ I loved the idea, and certain parts of it, but the overall work was sooo weak compared to the other ones! I sobbed when finished ''A Thousand Splendid Suns'' and kept telling everyone of that book. These first two books are not the ones you easily forget!
Actually I'm a huge bookworm, I can't imagine life without books.. are you like that, too? :-) I love contemporary fiction. Some of my favorites are The Book Thief, Delirium trilogy by Lauren Oliver, Three Comrades by Remarque, and Dandelion Wine and basically all by Ray Bradbury. Its just too many to even mention. What about you though? I'm dying to know ^_^
By the way I also love Afghani culture and just everything Afghanistan. Dream to visit someday.
